COZY UP AT THE WOOL B&B

BY ALICE WILBY

Autumn has arrived and the nights are drawing in. It’s about this time of year that we at FutureFrock love to snuggle up on the sofa under a blanket and get cozy. Well how about if you could snuggle up to your whole house? Yup, you heard me correctly!

Over in East London, The Wool B&B has arrived. Opened by The Campaign for Wool to mark Wool Week 2016, the B&B has been designed and curated by interior guru and stylist, Karina Garrick. From the cozy sitting room through to the bedrooms, this is a whole house dedicated to showcasing how versatile, functional and beautiful living with this natural material can be. It’ll have you kicking off your shoes and sinking into its woolly embrace as soon as you’re through the door!

A Wool lover and part of the Campaign for Wool activity since 2010, Karina’s unique curation is designed as an unfolding story, journeying from room to room the guest is able to experience the way wool works within the space and on the wearer. A living, breathing, ‘smart’ fibre, wool has the ability to improve the air you breathe, improve your sleep, improve your comfort and ensure your safety.

Guests will be able to view and experience an array of products from the Campaign for Wool brand partners, including a 'Wool-kin Wardrobe' featuring pieces from prestigious brands across, luxury, fashion, interiors and craft.

As HRH The Prince of Wales, Parton of The Campaign for Wool, states, “Wool is a product that the most brilliant boffin in the most hi-tech laboratory could never create.”

We love this innovative showcase, there is even a Shepherd's Hut in the garden and once Wool Week is over, exclusive over night stays will be available to the public, where the lucky few will be able to experience the wooly wonder of living with wool first hand.

Open to the public from the 12th – 16th October, for Wool Week 2016, the BnB will also be hosting workshops including:

Katie Jones: Fashion Patch Workshop, with FutureFrock favourite, knitwear designer Katie Jones, where attendees will create beautiful, woolly, handcrafted crochets trims for perfect personalised patches for jeans and jackets.

Karina Garrick: Styling Your Home, a chance to meet the stylist and Wool BnB curator for top tips on how to style up your home.

All workshops are listed on The Campaign for Wool’s website and bookable through Eventbrite.
